Been a while since I posted on the wildlife forum, but at the weekend I decided to spend a day in my hometown photographing the seals. The 'common' seal is the most uncommon of the seals here, it is mostly Grey Seals. It was a real low tide, and I got quite close, the sea was between us, but a few were perched on a nearby rock. I took Steve's advice regarding the SS, from the last time I posted the seals.

Nice view of this seal. Like the seaweed covered rock seat. Details look quite good. Nice one.

Nice techs, pose with good eye contact here William, the detail & colour in the seaweed and green moss certainly enhances.

Looks like you've pushed the sky a tad too far and also seeing a slight rim halo around the body.

    TFS.

Hi Will - Very nice detail and the centered comp works here with the eye contact. Agree with Marc's comments about the sky and halo.

Great shot Will I like the angle from which it is taken, those big eyes have me captivated. Sky apart I think the colours are super as are details.

Far too cute for words, William. Great pose, eye contact and I love the seaweed covered rock perch. Like your framing as well. Nicely done.

Thanks for that guys, much appreciated. I have had a closer look, and I think the halo may be light passing through the fine fur.
