    This shot is a full frame shot of a Crested Serpent Eagle. It was time for the forest gates to close. The crested serpent eagle turned its back to me and I created this image. Critiques welcome.

    1/320, f5.6, ISO 400, Canon 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, Canon EF 1.4xII, Canon 40D

    Hey, what happened to the rest of the bird? :) I like the idea, exposure and details and think it would fit perfectly in "Out of the Box". Thanks for sharing!

    Nice plumage detail, I'd crop more aggressively for more emphasis.

    I like going after body parts but as Fabs mention do go tighter. Also you need better light as for any other image, here it seems harsh and the bottom is not well illuminated

    Just showing the birds back would have been a neat image !!!
