I visited Bolsa Chica last month and to y surprise it was totally dead. Few terns but way low in numbers and activity. I was hoping to photograph least terns diving and fishing but I only saw one least turn for a couple of minutes....

Nice one! Exposure is perfect and blue background is dreamy. Many people noted how dead Bolsa was this summer. Total bummer.

Nice one Arash. Not easy to get a good one of these little guys and this one looks great.
A real bummer about Bolsa this year as I shot there all summer and this is the first time in all the years I have been shooting there that there aren't any Terns. I had a client out in the beginning of June and there were 10,000 Elegant Terns recorded there and within a week or two every one of them was gone. Has to be predation at night that drove them off.

I only wish the far wingtip was clear. Other than that, everything rocks. I like the water drops clinging to the tern.

Sweet frame. Love the water drops and that blue water background. Nice detail in those whites. Is this cropped or full frame?

Super pose very clean image, I can see good detail in the crown of the head and on the underside of the wing, couldn't ask for more!
