    Default Snowy Egret in breeding plumage

    Canon 7D2, 400mm f4 DO IS II
    ISO 400, f7.1, 1/3200s

    I decided to take the advice I got here on BPN and work up an image of this bird by itself. This is the frame previous to the image I posted earlier with two egrets in the frame.
    Seen at a rookery in Louisiana.

    Took out some bare branches in the background.

    Hi Allen,
    A really lovely frame, crisp, whites look great and that pink lore knocks my socks off, so dramatic against this mottled dark BG... I like the wispy feathers, those "orangey" feet, and the perch as well, well done.

    Sweet frame. Love the pose and the dark background. Breeding plumage is a plus.

    Made me study the perch, cleaned up , I now see two "perch" alligators: open mouth just at the right foot and another on the right top of the perch!
