Hi All, thanks for commenting only earlier posts. Here is another for the theme.
A pair of cute little wild dogs stare in curiosity while we photographed them close to their den at Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania a couple of years ago. Early morning light. Toned down the yellows and reds a bit. A bit busy but not easy to get clear shots of the little ones hiding in the bushes.

Nice to see wild dog pups. I have never seen them before. Nice light. Like the expression of the left one. Looks like the were playing or rolling around by the debris on them.

Hi Sanjeev, always great to see WD pups and at this stage of their lives always inquisitive and full of mischief.

I don't mind the shooting angle here, albeit pointing down, but again, there is certainly a difference to your IQ, techs and framing from here to now which is great to see. The tongue poking out is priceless, good moment to capture, nicely timed. I would go tighter in, not massively, but just to loose some frame the RHS & top, you have a guide. I like the nice warm light from the early morning, but I would look to getting a little more distinction within the MT's, maybe adding some Contrast or Levels, but I'm hesitant just using it as an adjustment layer as it's too Global, but give it a whirl. In moving, you will have lost the moment with the tongue and so the tree truck is less than ideal, however it is what it is however better to run through the body than the head. With the 7D I might have traded some SS for more DoF, albeit you could still have upped the ISO as it appears the DoF is tailing off quickly.

I know you have some issues with WB, if you are using DPP may be Andreas can PM some pointers, if you switch to ACR then I'm sure Rachel can give you some key step to help as she uses ACR.

Hope others chime in too, with other thoughts and suggestions.

    TFS

Hi Sanjeev - It's always tough to get pups these young out in the open, so well done on that. I love that they are both looking at you and the tongue out adds a great deal. The tree placement is unfortunate but not much you could do about it. If you do come in from the rhs as Steve suggests make sure you keep the complete tail. Nice warm light. Did you recover the hls on the right front leg of the dog on the left because they look a little gray compared to the other whites on the other legs? Overall, a nice theme image.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Sanjeev -- It is very difficult to get them in the open and you have done well in framing the way you have framed this considering how difficult it gets with the WD pups. liked the eye contact and that tongue sticking out is priceless. Nice suggestions above reg the crop and that tree is unfortunate but still give it to you considering the settings they are found in. Nicely done. TFS !

Hi Sanjeev what lovely moment with the pups ...
Some issues covered ...or better said some suggestions made ...the HLS are for sure not recovered i bet .!!!! Looking at the individual channels , no loss of detail to see . If so it would have been in the red channel ......
Well the cropping is ok for me ...you have distractions all over the place , do not know if the image do benefit from cropping.
Tones - yes there is room to play with ...matter of taste ... why not trying the mid tones as per Steve .

I would not mind having seen this ,and have taken the same photograph

    TFS Andreas
