That's a lovely shot Rachel, I wouldn't change a thing. I like the walkway and the surrounding grasses, it could be argued some are a little intrusive but I would say leave be it looks natural. I'll bet you were really chuffed with this shot!
I am sure your TIFF/PSD is spot on, there is just a tiny weeny amount of clipping in the jpeg

This is tack sharp right on the eyes where it should be. Did you get any verticals? Looks great.

Lovely detail and the exposure looks spot on...Maybe a bot more DOF would have made it better. But nice capture anyway.

Hi Rachel -- I loved the details here , and because of the soft light the colours have come out very well. Loved the eye contact as well. I would have liked a lower POV but that is something not easy top get all the time. Also a bit more space for the front leg , slightly tight there IMO. But a very nice image all in all .
TFS !

Hi Rachel, a lovely image with lots to like. The shooting angle is not the best but the eye contact and the light make up for the angle. Agree on a bit more room below. TFS.

Oh my Rachel, cub is so adorable and that eye-contact. Your capture and PP is perfect for me. Glad to know one can make sharp images at 1/800. Do you use monopod often? Do you prefer it over bean bags?

Nice encounter Rachel, but for me the space at the top and bottom needed to be transposed so the cub has more room to walk into, it's just too close at the foot. I also feel there is too much dead space to the left, cropping (on the width) and pushing the cub more to the left would be better IMHO. Dropping (moving down) your 'in camera framing' here would have helped, so you are tracking the subject as it comes into frame. Regarding DoF, I see Dumay comment on this too, but as per the previous image, because it's almost shooting wide open you would have easily runout of DoF as the cub got even closer.

Hi Rachel it must have been a great encounter with the cub ...one day , i hope i will see something similar .
Color and tone working lovely together with the soft lighting..... i am with Steve about the crop and the placement of the subject in the frame.
Nice one ... TFS Andreas
