The leopard cub was having a tough time feasting on the impala without letting it slip away. This image was captured when it took a pause and looked up letting it's eyes lit up by the golden light. By the way, it eventually lost control and impala did fall off the tree and a hyaena appeared from nowhere and took away the prey before mother leopard could even react. Image was taken last week in Masai Mara

Great light you caught this scene in. The prey is a bonus and i like the tree. Gives a good view of the leopard and the impala.

Hi Jay -- What a sight ! and I loved the light and eye contact as well. Too bad they lost the hard earned meal. I feel the blacks are clipped and a bit heavy here, reducing the contrast and opening the mid tones might help. Did you applied sharpening to the whole frame ? the branches are looking a bit crunchy . I think the image is worth revisiting , a fantastic moment and light as well, one i would love to have in my collection.

    TFS !

Hi Haseeb & John, thanks for your comments. I did not do any sharpening on the tree so can's explain crunchiness.

What I mean is that you can go to say 1600px wide, still keeping at 500KB.
