    I captured this image in the rookery at the alligator breeding pond, Gatorland, Orlando, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Very nice Joe! I am impressed by the DOF you achieved with 5.6 for this portrait.
    Do you have more room below for the virtual tip of the beak?
    Great BG and I like the sawtooth "crown" created by the shoulder feathers.
    Lots of great detail in the white feathers.
    I see a bit of gray in the white feathers- not sure if this is due to natural shadowing or if you should pull the blacks down in the whites in selective coloring?

    Nice details in the whites. Really like the light here. The dark green background makes the bird pop nicely.

    Love the BLACK BKGR and the perfect preening head angle. Lowering the contrast a bit with a reverse S curve might soften the light ...
