This pigeon had been breaking off willow twigs for nesting purposes, the shot was taken from my back garden hide, I was waiting for a woodpecker (to no avail!).

Nice pose and colors Jonathan. The face looks a little soft on my monitor and I'd probably remove the OOF branch intersecting the tail, but I guess that's a matter of taste. Thank you for sharing.

    Hi Jon,
An interesting behavioral capture with the branch in the bird's beak. Nice catch. Another round of sharpening on the head may help.

Pretty neat. At least you were able to come back with something nice. Like how the bird is Framed by the vegetation.

Ditto what Juan said! I do like the behavior shown and the great HA!
Love the wing spread. I might try putting the pigeon a bit higher in the frame (depending on how busy the bottom part of frame is.)

Thank you for the feedback everyone. I have had another look and another round of sharpening to the head makes a significant difference.

Wicked behaviour and pose. I am with Allen -- a Contrast Mask on the face would help.
