Fabulous details, exposure, and head angle. He's a bit in the frame, so I'd give him a bit more room if you have it. Good result in what looks like pretty steep light.

that's a handsome downy, sharp with good details and a nice HA. Agree he is too large in the frame, I'd re do this in a 3:@ with more room all around and I wish the sun was behind your neck, the shadows are a bit distracting here.

I agree that the WP looks great.
I too, agree that you need a bit more room all around.
I find the perch quite large but if you loosened the crop , the size of the perch might be less impactful.
Was this a set-up?

Thanks very much everyone, much appreciated. He is too big in the frame. So, here is a different crop, the off branch in front is a bit distracting though
Gail, yes this is a setup, in my ..19 acre back yard. The branch was on the Ash tree, a really good spot for a perch until the Squirrels broke it off. I have been feeding the peeps for many years. Hopefully I will remember to mention that in the future.

Better wider. But it needs to go a lot lighter from where I sit ... Then get rid of that ugly *** perch and quit blaming the squirrels. Take a long walk in the woods and find something with character.

Wow, If it were less than difficult, I would go for a walk in the woods. You have no idea what you have just done
