Come closer!

It was always the older & bolder cubs that took an interest in my Nikon, they loved peering into that wideangle glass and seeing their reflection.

With the two leading cubs suddenly lunging forward granting them just 12/18 inches from my lens, played havoc with my DOF, so no apologies on that front! Shooting directly into the sunrise, my FG was almost black of course, but 1/250s was pushing it just a little too much for sure!

Great low perspective Marc! Add to that the curious young lions all facing the camera is wonderful. Agree that the DOF & SS wasn't't enough to cover all and the light was challenging. But you pulled it off well.

Hi Marc -- Your camranger is producing some amazing perspectives. Loved the curious faces and african landscape. DOf and ss as mentioned is an issue here but still works for me as presented considering the challenge such kind of images carry. Also liked that lioness in the extreme BKG. Enjoyed viewing this one.

What cool perspective, and nice to see the other members of the pride in the background. As well as the landscape and blue sky.

I badly wish for more DoF and SS too but still loving this Marc, pose is priceless and a such a wonderful moment to treasure, I enjoyed viewing and smiling from ear to ear - thank you for sharing!

An appealing shot Marc, the low angle really does add to the drama, the boldness and also the vulnerability of the cubs come across.

Wow, so many cubs!

For sure Gabriela, there were actually 16 cubs/young sub adults aged from 4 to 11 mths all within 5M of us, with the 6 females also present and vigilant.

Hi Marc - Tons of cuteness here. Love the low pov and inquisitiveness of the cubs. I particularly like the one way in the back off the rhs of the lions as viewed. I agree with your self-critique about dof and ss.
