    Here's the look-alike cousin of the Alder Flycatcher I posted the other day. From May of last year.

    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 EC, ISO 450, 1/640s @ f/6.3 manual.

    Good details Bill. Did you Gaussian blur the background? To me it just seems a bit off. I like the anchoring foliage in the LRC.

    You have a good collection to call on while your wing is healing. Not sure about the two twigs above the bird.

    Really enjoying your songbird images lately. The bird gave you a nice pose. The background is great.

    Thanks guys. I did think about removing the uppermost twig on the left since I don't like the way it intersects the vertical, but left it in. I don't recall using any blur (although it's possible). I'm sure I gave a heavy dose of NR. It looks pretty much like the bg of the RAW file.
