Taken the previous spring. I've always struggled catching this species out of the dense brush they seem to prefer around here.
This bird was quite close and I was having trouble tracking it at 700mm on a crop sensor. I was using single point focus set dead
center as they never seem to stay in one spot for more than a second or two. It was apparently luck that the bird was in focus
as this image was cropped from the very bottom of the raw file and below the AF point. I did clone out a few OOF branches/foliage.
I know it's tight.
