Another image from my trip with Isaac, interestingly enough he was told prior to his arrival that owls are difficult this time of year. We managed to prove that false with photos of 7 species in 4 days. . . Another hot day here, easily 110+ with questionable at best air conditioning in my car.

    Techs:
    Nikon D750
    600mm f4
    handheld
    1/1250
    f9
    ISO200

Excellent! I love the concept and overall image design. I do wish that one small spot on the sun was not there, but oh boy what a gorgeous image. I especially love the faint rim lighting on the lower half of the owl.

Crazy pretty shot here Walker. Beautifully processed as well. Super happy for you and glad you got it. Like I said many times on our trip. The best shots come from planning and work. We saw the opportunity, planned the shot and got it. I'd consider entering this in a contest if I were you.

This is looking real good. You can see from the lovely image, that you have put a lot of effort into capturing this shot. Very well done.

Love it Walker! Only thing I can add as criticism (and this is merely an opinion) is I'd open the crop up a bit - if it's cropped that is.
