    Hi John,
    Nice detail in the blacks - nice background too. Unusual perch and I kind of like it except for the oof foreground elements. Overall quite a nice image. I know these butterflies are hard to catch with still wings.

    Lovely detail, well caught. I like the composition, the thistle is a little busy but that's nature for you.
    Over here we would call the plant a Scottish thistle - what is the name over there?
