    I like the pose and raised front limb here, BG is a bit busy but the darkish tones make the subject stand out well.

    Hi John, for me it's all about the timing. Having the tree in the BKG is distracting, so shooting earlier or after would have been better, as the BKG would have bee more pleasing with either the dark shady part or the green of the bushes. Again you need to start to play with getting more depth in the image to creating a layering effect.

    Hi John - Gorgeous light again. I like the pose with the raised leg. I agree with Steve about the tree intersecting the deer being less than ideal. I think the large crop has affected the detail on the deer. I'm curious if you were far enough away that this is a "big crop", did you need f8?
