    I have called it a day for this site - just not enough light but here is one last attempt to get a sharp image at a low shutter speed. (You can see how the breeze caught the dry grass at the bark junction centre bottom.)

    You did quite well for the settings. Owl looks tack sharp at 1/8sec. Neat how it hangs out in the tree.

    Details look good at 1/8th. Very cool nest site too with lots of cool texture. Hope you can find some in easier light conditions. Very cool owls. TFS

    Hi Jon, at 1/8 how sharp is the raw? Not ideal as I'm on the laptop, but the image s appears to be carrying some magentas/purple and the owlet looks to have been lightened? Glad you kept the green foliage at the foot, adds IMHO, but again, colour looks a bit off?

    Hi Jon, for 1/8 shutter speed I think this image is remarkably good. Rather than giving up on such a good site maybe a change in the time of day? I agree with Steve that I see a magenta/purple color cast on the owl. Thank you for sharing.
