6.19pm and a 10 week old cheetah cub with full belly follows her mum and sibling as they set off in golden light to settle down for the night...
It was a real pleasure to follow mum and her 2 cubs over the majority of my 16 nights here, however we could not locate the family the last few days, with 5 Vumbi pride males now hanging around, it was no wonder.
As we face dwindling cheetah numbers today, let's hope this family can survive these next tough few months and hope I can see them again come my return November trip here.

'The light maketh a great photo' - clear evidence of that here, Marc. Lots of others things too, of course. In this case, the beautiful setting, low POV, running pose, head turn, and who doesn't love a story of hope. Simply love that blurry, banded background too and not at all bothered by the relatively inky looking body of the cub. It all works with the light and atmosphere.
Hi Marc -- Lovely POV and the light is fantastic ! Loved the full belly of the cub and the blown hair on it is back. Very nice details as well and the colours have come out nicely. Just a bit more space at the foot of the image but as presented it is still working . Very nicely done , and hope the Cheetah nos increase in the whole of Africa .
Hi Marc - Beautiful light hitting the cheetah's face. Like the walking pose and the layers of the bg. Might just cut the top layer down a bit to a narrower pano. The dull sky isn't adding much.
another wonderful frame Marc, it's that purposeful gaze and the addition of that wonderful light that makes this all set against an OOF BKG that has real depth
gorgeous work, and yes who doesn't love a story of hope !!
