A nice simple portrait. Good HA, clean background, simple perch. I don't like how the distal branch goes so OOF so quickly compared to the proximal branch. I would have considered dropping the SS to 1/320 to drop ISO and stop down a little more to get some of the distal branch in focus...not sure if you would start getting diffraction softening though. Whites are pretty well controlled with only a few hot spots in the dead centre of the breast. I don't like the deep shadow area on the posterior right of the head as it is so jarring compared to the rest of the iridescence and it has a noticeable blue cast to it.

I like the pose and BG a lot. The perch is good too and gives a nice simple image design. Good details. I also wish the end of the perch was just a bit sharper but not a huge deal. Love the shine on the head. TFS

Nice pose and BG and good control of the whites. The blurring of the branch does not bother me that much since you have good eye contact with the subject which hold my eye.
