    Hi Bill, like the natural perch and good to have the body turn of the Ox P towards you. I think you very much favour f/8, but because of the closeness I might have upped the DoF a fraction more based on the OP. However, if you just open the Contrast & Blacks a bit more, (or reduce the amounts if you have applied any), plus add some selective sharpening to the eye, things begin to reveal themselves far more. With something as close as this, to me, it's about detail and retaining as much as you can, adding black, contrast, clarity may appear to give sharpness, but it just chokes the midtone & fine detail. If you have it, then a tad more below would be nice.

    There is also just a small white halo just around the Ox P head.
