We get a number of these guys at our feeders every winter. This was shot in April of 2017 when he was showing handsome colors.

Nice one. Like the perch, background and the pose on the bird.

Sweet little bird, nicely photographed Bill. Background and setting are great and the lean on the bird draws a second look. I did wonder if this would work better with the bird further right in the composition but you may not have the frame or there may be some features further left that detract? IQ looks very good and tone nicely rendered (without knowing what these look like in real life). Hope you are well on the way to recovery and able to get out with camera again soon.

Perch makes the shot. It is much easier to find birds than it is to find birds on a beautiful perch. Hats off to you on this one Bill. On my screen it looks a bit dark but all else is very nice. That's how you turn a somewhat boring and ubiquitous sparrow into a beautiful bird photo. Perch, background, pose and head angle are all excellent. Very nice.

Excellent perch as already noted. The pose is a bit awkward for me, but it is different. Who says sparrows are boring...I love them!
