Hello folks and sorry for my very long absence .....life is busy and i did other stuff , nothing about photography .
Just popping in ....to say again good bye , as i am leaving tomorrow for Kamtchatka . The second largest Brown Bear subspecies is waiting to sniff on my german grey socks , hopefully they do smell bad enough to keep them away from me .
I am very excited to visit that place .....as it is a bit more elusive than Alaska i guess. Three helicopter flights with old russian MI 8 are waiting for me .....never been flying with an helicopter . The helicopter flights are for transporting us photogs to the locations where we shoot the bears .
What should say ...i am excited what to expect .
Hope all you folks are ok !!!!!

To fill this mail and post something ...well here you go . A grey seal from last dec on Helgoland .

    See you , cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas, wow that seems like some trip to Kamchatka!! All the best & hope it will be worth it. This is a fine image with low POV, good amount of detail and HA. I would just brighten the eye a bit.

Hi Andreas - I hope you have a great trip and come back with loads of images to share. We miss your posts and comments. Nice image of the grey seal. Love the pov. Maybe a little more sharpening on the eye.

    Rachel

Beautiful closeup of this youngster, Andreas. Like the soft light, and lovely shade of blue in the sky. Well done.

Great to see your seals again. Love the low angle and the expression on the seal's face.

Hi Andreas -- We all missed you here and great to see a Seal image once again . I agree with the above reg the eye needing a bit of pop . Loved the low POV and the excellent details . Superb perspective . The colours are looking great as well .

All the very best for your Kamchatka trip , one I had been wishing to go for a long time now . Will wait for your images from the trip.

    TFS !
