John, nice image. Details, exposure, BG, pose look great. Only issue for me is I would like to see more DOF on the tail. Maybe f9? Thanks for sharing.

nice pose and details, I like the BG and the delicate perch too. Switching to smaller aperture is not good idea here, you gain little in DOF and with the slower SS the subject will become soft , I would actually shoot this wide open for faster SS (if the zoom lens is sharp wide open)
