    Peregrine falcon from SoCal. I din't get an opportunity to photograph the falcons this year when they were active, this guy did one last food delivery but no show from the chicks. The unfortunate prey is some kind of song bird. BG was the ocean with tall waves in this very windy day

    Nikon D5, 600 FL + TC-14E III ISO 2000 f/5.6 at 1/2000sec hand held processed with C1P

    Sorry it was slow last week but after 6 weeks fledged, these eyases are all over the place and probably just starting to catch prey on their own and gaining their independence. At least we got one nice portrait of this handsome male. I got some great frames of him this year. He is the epitome of the breed and the best provider I have ever seen.
    See ya next year at the same spot, maybe a bit earlier :)

    You caught a nice view of this male here. The comp is nice and i like the blood on the talon.

    Nice capture of the tiercel and like the interaction with the prey in the foot.Like that you didn't clean up the blood off the cere and beak.
