    I love how it is holding its wings and tail spread out, almost as if it is on purpose to give itself a shower. Great head angle too. I often find that my Canon renders the greens a bit too yellow and I often need to add some cyan to the yellows in "Selective Color", I get that impression here, although you were there to gauge what it was like. The raindrop near the bill tip is distracting to me, but all else in this image is quite pleasing. Many folks do not go out in inclement weather, this shows exactly why we should!

    I really like this...a lot!
    Great BG and I love the flower on RHS. balances the image well.
    Love the rain and the look back .
    Love the splayed tail and wings.

    Real nice Jobn. I agree 100% with Daniel here. Lower the yellows and you have a real winner. The rest looks great. I need to get up there to get shots of this species I guess. I see tons of these birds, including in my yard all the time but they are never down low or close!

    Looks great John! Yes to reducing the yellow channel a bit and yes to the rain drop at the end of the beak. Pose, details and Bg look great too. Well done
