    Here's a juvenile Western Screech-Owl I saw a couple nights ago.

    This is nice Walker.
    Did you use flash or handheld light?
    Love the 2 little bugs on the perch.
    Black BG adds a lot of drama.
    Comp is good.
    I have never seen this bird in real life but I see a bit of magenta cast.perhaps this is true color?
    I would select the tail and do some NR to this area ,

    Look at those eyes, love em. The comp is nice and so is the perch.

    Nice details here Walker. Bird looks great against black background. I think colors may be slightly off as Gail mentioned. Try reducing the magenta and see if that helps. Honestly find it very difficult to get colors 100% with flashed shots and don't have lots of experience with flash at night.

    Thanks Gail and Isaac. I will reduce magentas, and I do use limited flash on my owls.
