Interesting composition, it works for me. I love the topside view with the slightly spread-open wings. Cool nest too. BG is a bit distracting, but likely not much could have been done there, except for a drastic processing blur, which would not look good. If mine I'd remove the two small branches at the tip of the lower mandible.

Great view of the bird here. The vertical composition works quite well. The nest is another bonus.
