I am fortunate that I can see and photograph these guys most summers at my folks' cottage, although I do not always take the time to do so. A bonus day off last week had me heading there to try my hand. I was not disappointed! Arguably the most beautiful warbler species in North America, and one of the most beautiful songbirds outright!

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/400s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, FF, eye work, and removed a couple of minor distractions, NR to the BG. Audio.

Sweet Daniel. I'm jealous of this one. Drove 3 hours a few weekends ago to photograph these and mourning Warbler and struck out on both. Perfect and appropriate perch as they spend pretty much the whole breeding season high up in coneiferous trees. All looks great to me.

Wow. This is fantastic. Everything is spot on. Your eye work is always good. This is a species high on my list for sure.

Certainly one of the most beautiful of warblers, and you've captured him in a perfect pose. Looks great against the dark spruce green BG. No nits.
