Menye is his name, or 'Little Boy' in one of the African languages. The weird structure of hair in his neck is the reflection of wet hair clogged together. Probably by a lick of love by his nistress a few minutes earlier. She fled as the game drive vehicle approached and he was trying his best to find her again.

Lovely capture, Tobie. Beautiful warmth to the entire image. The story adds as he searches for the female. Sad that she fled at the vehicle approached, and hope they found one another in short order.

Thanks Geoff. Knowing the urges that drive these animals I'm sure that she was back as soon as all the curious onlookers went to bed...

Nice pose on this guy. Like how he is looking across the frame. Light looks nice as well.

Hi Tobie - One of the best that you have posted that I recall. You handled the mid-morning light well though the image is slightly on the darker side. I like the pose and the pov. Nice one.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Wonderful image Tobie,

I really like those rich colours and velvety look of the leopard's fur. Pose is lovely and head angle is great, so is point of view:)

A well framed image, well processed with nice detail and sharpness where it matters most - very nice work, congratulations!!!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
