    Default Thirsting on reflection

Just back from a sensational 3+ week assignment to the Central Serengeti with an image I was pleased with:

Early morning and not a breath of wind around makes for a clean/clear reflection as a lioness gazes down my lens whilst quenching her thirst.

    Central Serengeti- TZ.

    Nikon D5
    Nikkor 400 f/2.8E FL VR + 1.4tcIII
    f/4
1/400s .......yes pushing it a little

    Cheers

This is very nice. The reflection is excellent. Details look good for the high ISO here.

Hi Marc, I like this a lot. Nice soft light, good reflection in still water, nice eye contact. Just a slight more sharpening on the head?

Cant wait to see more from Central Serengeti. I was there too a couple weeks ago. Migration was in full swing.

Hi Marc - This just works for me. Love the reflection. You were lucky no wind and also no ripples from the tongue lapping the water yet (or at least not significant ones yet).

    TFS,
    Rachel

What a beauty, Marc. Perfect moment captured before she destroyed the reflection. Nicely done.

    Hello Marc,

Welcome back! Wonderful capture of this lioness and I especially like the reflection. I also like the way she is "nested" among those grasses, super composition!

Yes you were pushing it, LOL. I wish for a little more detail on the face but overall this is nicely processed with good colours. The pose and those eyes just magic.

Let us see some more from this trip, please

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
