John, nice exposure and detail, it looks like you were quite low for this shot. Well done. I like the one-legged pose. Honestly the only nit that jumped out to me was that highlight on the branch around the left one-third mark. I would remove that if this were mine, wonderful image.

I like the setting and background in this John - and the bird looks great too, of course. Nice low POV and nice detail on the bird. The browns, blacks and whites of the plumage look very good. I like the one-leg pose too. If mine, I might be inclined to try it with the bird higher in crop but you may not have that in your frame.

    Good solid image!
Nice POV, love the light and the environment included in the image.
I could see a version with a bit more room right and bottom.

Nice one. Love the pose and setting. I also agree with a bit more room below if its there or could be added easily. Like the catchlight and eye as well. A different setting than I normally see pics of them in which is cool too. TFS

A fine habitat shot -- as Alex said, somewhat different from the habitat one usually sees these guys in. The browns, blacks and whites of the bird stand out nicely against the lovely greens of the BG. My initial reaction was to compose along the lines suggested by Gail, but then I revisited and decided I liked the slightly extreme comp you have here. Nice work.
