    Taken in early afternoon in my Hobblebush.

    EOS-1D Mark II N + EF400mm f/5.6L USM + 20mm extension tube.
    @400mm, F/6.3, 1/640s, ISO-400, AV 0, Flash Off.

    Very nice Guy. Great pose with good DOF. I'd probably remove the white area at the top of the frame, but that's about it. Thanks for posting!

    Beautiful capture Guy and ditto Doug's comments.. Really like the composition and the capture is sharp and excellent exposure.

    I like the soft light, details and eye contact. I agree with Doug regarding the BG and wish for a lower angle.

    Another vote for getting rid of the white patches, either colne, quick mask or patch tool, it would look much better with a more even BG.

    Beautiful shot Guy (as usual ;) ),

    Great DOF; the soft color of the background adds to the quiet moment. Excellent precision on the bird. As for the white patch, I am not so sure about removing it or not. Personnaly, I think the white area brings a touch of dynamism and I would not be surprised that the shot look more dull if removed. Maybe you could do the exercise with and without.
