as far as the photo, i like it a lot. bird looks just a tad soft to me, though. and i mean just a tad. i like the compo. only thing i can say is that the flower kinda overpowers the bird?
nice job, mr don!! about time you started getting some good credit for the wife's work!! or lack of!!:D
I probably should have sharpened the eye a bit more:-) Don detests bird feeder images and this is the go to flower for now,but yea it over powers A LOT!

A big hello from the UK , Don!! I like this a lot - agree with Mr Harold about the flower somewhat overpowering the bird - perhaps your lovely wife could show you how to tone it down a bit on her Mac!!!!! Look forward to seeing more!
Hi Nonda - I like it - flower doesn't bother me - I like the interaction. You are on fire with these hummingbirds - I am sticking to the bigger birds still - LOL these little birdsd are just too hard to get to stay still LOL
Sharpened the eye and teh entire image - just looked a little soft. and a slight curve adjustment - Looked a little dark - could just be my monitor though.
I like it a lot Great flight pose and bg !!! Just the slight sharpening the eye area !!! .......... looking forward to more I'm sure you will be getting all the help you need !!!:)
Of course I'm kind Alfred;) then again I have this really nice little bridge......
Lance, like the fix! I only final sharpened the bird (did capture sharpen on the whole image) nothing else and I took the reds in the flower to -25. Will go back and re-do!

The subject of humming bird feeders got me thinking. I think they are a horrible artificial thing that should not be in a hummingbird photograph, unless, of course it is for a hummingbird feeder ad. I asked a professional bird photographer once how they get those magnificent photographs of hummingbirds feeding
at some exotic flower in the jungles of Borneo (for example). He told me that they carry a pipette and a sugar solution and place the solution in a flower of their choosing. It become some sort of super flower to the hummingbirds, and once they find it, they keep coming back for more! It seems this technique could be used in a backyard as well. ~onlybill
