He looks like he is all hunched up. Was it cold?
I would brighten the bird by 1/2 stop.

Nice calling pose and the chest area especially on the bird looks great. Gail was spot on about the exposure. Start with half a stop and go from there.

Nicely captured pose of this juvenile, Joe. It's flattened down feathers and pose reinforce the young, submissive look. Open beak is a nice touch too. I also thought the original looked a little underexposed and your repost has fixed this. Great detail and simple, effective composition.
