Another from the island of Lunga on Scotland's West coast. As I said in my last Puffin post, I was looking to capture something different with these beautiful birds. When I was on the island, during May, they were still in the process of courtship and nest rebuilding. They didn't mind our presence, one even walked up towards my wife who was sitting on the grass, and pecked at her boots. I loved the pose this one gave me.

You've done well to get some different poses, as was your aim. I like this a lot, Will. I still can't work out how they get airborne with such big bodies and small wings though! This has come together really well with great substrate, background and pose: raised foot and raised wings with direct look towards you. Good processing round this off.

Hi Will, I like the spread wings, the raised foot and the clean BG. The colours are punchy and nice! Good one!

Nice one Will great pose, I like the plumage details, I could see the image with a tad more exposure but I suspect you may have to tame the reds in raw converter.

Another very nice image William. I prefer these types of images to the fish in beak shots that I have seen 10,000 times. Beautiful soft feather details and rich colors. I agree it might help to add a touch more exposure and to lower the saturation just a touch in the feet.

Love the pose and great color scheme. The 'perch' is super cool as well. I like the expression as well. No nits from me on this one. TFS
