Hi Tim, I like the lowish POV, framing and choice of pano crop works well, good call in the position of the subject in frame. A bit more DoF I think may have helped here? Not sure if the head and trailing water requires a bit more localised sharpening, or the head is just a tad soft sadly?

The MKIII was a great camera once Canon sorted out it's initial issue, had some great fun with those bodies, things have come along way since then, including CF cards, my first 1GB card cost $265

Cool frame Tim! I really like the dynamic skimming pose and the great colors in this one. Nice pano crop too. I have skimmer frames that have this same smooth head look to them also. I am sure the RAW is sharp as the eye looks sharp. Just how these guys look sometime. Sharpening will just make it look worse. Well done

I like the pose, skimming action, and the head turn. Chosen crop is nice. I like the brown BG color. TFS

Sweet light, beautiful water, and a nice look at skimming behavior! It's definitely tough to extract detail from very smooth feathers, but I wouldn't mind seeing what a version with more sharpening of the head looks like.
