This is one from my hometown at my usual perch on the shore, in amongst the rocks at low water. Late evening. I was photographing Eider when this single Shelduck flew by.

Hi Will, any frames with the wings in a better position? Sadly the head looks soft, is this a big crop?

Cool pose and subject Will but this isn't up to your usual standards. A bit noisy and the head is soft too. Always try to clean up those elongated catchlights as it will help to make the eye look sharper. Well captured

Have to agree with the others that the head is soft on this.
I would love to see this duck IRL someday,

Sweet flight pose. The head is admittedly a distraction.

    Hi Will
For me instant memories of Tynningham in the 1950s.
Like the moment of bif wings.

Great down-wing pose and nice looking bird in great light. Shame about the softness/motion blur that others have already noted. It just means a challenge for a another day!
