Another species that I was after getting a photo of is this adult male Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Was very happy to have found this cooperative male in the woods of eastern Pennsylvania. Overcast conditions shot mid day.

    Canon 1dx mark ii and Canon 600 f4 ii + 1.4x iii. ISO 2500, f6.3, SS 1/500.

This is looking real good Isaac. I love the detail you captured on all three colours of the bird. Lovely perch framed by the leaves. I like the BG colour, it blends with the leaves. Nice pose and eye contact. I like your crop, glad you left the leaves in, they add to the image. Well done.

Nice frame of this male. Excellent background. Sounds like you got some keepers from your PA trip. Love the leaves in the bottom left.

Another great songbird frame Isaac! The pose, details and BG colors are awesome. You are somehow getting these natural shots on great perches! Well done making these difficult songbird frames happen.

Love the IQ and color palette.
I could see this as a vertical comp as well and would include the entire cut-off stem with a vertical comp.
Would have loved the feet to be within DOF.
You are really getting the most out of your 600mm!

Nice IQ, pose, and setting especially. The leaves on the left look so sharp too! No nits from me, looks like the switch to the 600 from the 500 is working out well. TFS
