I took the advice offered by Isaac and Bill and others re: the whites on the loon.
I got lucky with this, because by the time I leveled the image in PP I did not have a pixel to spare on RHS and LHS.
I did clone out a chick butt on LHS of frame.

Image cropped from bottom and is full frame side to side.
Comments and critiques always learned from and appreciated with thanks,

Great low angle. Love the pose on the bird here. The pano crop works well. Good detail in the whites.

What a grand pose here Gail. Whites look great! I don't think the reflection really adds much to the image so I would take a little off of the bottom and add it back to the top. Did you try bringing out a bit more details on the head? We have all seen so many loon shots posted and this one stands out as being different and in a good way. Very nice Gail. A shot like this makes a trip for sure.

Hi Gail, love the low perspective, background and foreground, spread wings. Exposure looks good. Wish the head was turned to either side, it looks a little funky straight on. Thank you for sharing.

Loons almost always look so slender that we forget how wide they actually are, and this image shows that quite well! I must admit I had to study the bill area to figure it out, but nice overall. We have loons at the lake over here but never so cooperative!

Great looking wing flapping pose Gail! The whites look perfect!! White and not washed out or grey. That green BG is sweet too. As Daniel mentioned the HA isn't ideal as it is kind of hard to make out the eyes from the beak. Well done and can't wait to see more from your trip.
