    Default Leopard on patrol...

Just slowly getting things together before heading back out to SA at the end of the month, where hopefully I can catch up with some good folk from BPN and also I'll be doing some teaching too.

Again taking a leaf out of Gabriela's book, here is a reprocessed image from last times visit. With the updates in software it's amazing how much you can still pullout from an image, although both techs & settings will change since shooting this shot, especially the 'Case's'.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed the previous thread.

Beautiful leopard and the frame is stunning

Well exposed, DoF works well and subject really stands out. Golden light is superb. Like the POV, pose, paw slightly raised and pink tongue.

Glad to see you too revisit old files and it gave me great pleasure to view this particular one reprocessed. I am sure you will have an amazing trip in SA and awesome sightings - so excited for you, weather is great this time of the year and right now the landscape still green due to recent rains. Hope you capture the beauty of our wildlife with every click of your shutter, I so look forward to your images Steve!

    Warmest regards,

Thanks Gabriela, yep folk are primed on the first leg and I have just had some great info on the second, but as we know, Wildlife never perform and so happy to get what and when I can, but also looking forward to catching up with you at some point, probably a T-total evening then.

Indeed, one example of animals "not performing" is my week-end in the wilderness: saw more ellies than I could count ( about a hundred I think) and hardly took any images - they were always in front of the vehicle on a narrow road. The WD were lying down after what must have been a copious meal, often when they got up they faced the other way, LOL. Well, maybe not every time...I got some frames, yay
Looking forward to that T-total evening, we'll be in touch Steve

Hi Steve, a cracking image in some sweet light. Love the pink tongue sting out and the walking pose. TFS.

Hi Steve, your images bring me to places I have never been. Magnificent Lepard, love the exposed tongue. Thank you for sharing.

I like the expression and the colours, the dusty background makes for a very pleasing image.
