Taken in south Texas from a blind, this very hot thrasher came in to bath and then was on his way... I love the color of his eye, and what a lovely call this thrasher has!

Beautiful bird giving you a typical thrasher pose. I really like that bush and the background Ann. Hope you have some other species in it. I do wish the tail wasn't partially obscured. The open beak and great eye contact are very nice.

Love the calling pose and that orange eye is very neat. Like the composition as well.

Fabulous calling pose, with great detail everywhere except the unfortunate oof tail. The foliage frames the bird beautifully against the painterly background. Well done.

Great calling pose, Ann. Exceptional soft light, and beautifully framed by foliage.

Shame we can't experience the call, Ann. This looks great to my eye right down to the foliage above providing nice framing and dappled background. Wonderful detail on the bird and excellent calling pose. Processing looks spot on. I could imagine this working a bit tighter too but works fine as is. Thanks for sharing.

I love the dappled BG and the way the upper branch frames the thrasher.
Details look good. I could see a version with a bit off the LHS,
    Gail
