This is one of our more common warblers. They are very easy to see in migration and are sometimes abundant, but getting a proper photo of one is a different story. This male was photographed 2 weeks ago in eastern Pennsylvania. This was another bird that I was looking to photograph. Natural light and cloudy conditions.

Hello Isaac, wonderful composition, really like the perch/leaves/BG and the redstart with the open beak. Colors like right on and details are good! well done. Did you happen to see the female too?
Ann I spent about 4 hours in that spot waiting for opportunities. There were 2 Chestnut sided Warblers, 2 Ovenbirds, 1 Common Yellowthroat and this Redstart. That is all that I saw. Would have like to photograph the female but did not even see her. The birds were cycling around an open camp ground and occasionally would come back to where i was set up quietly waiting. Oh and I had a Rose-breasted Grosbeak there also which I got loads of good images of.
Man, are you doing a job on these warblers. This one, as you say, is a pretty common sight in migration, but is very twitchy. Tough to catch. You got him on a great open perch, wonderful singing pose and lovely background. Nicely done.
The setting really makes this one for me Isaac - the branches and leaves artfully arranged and perfect background. Processing looks great with excellent detail across the plumage of the bird - I'm sure not easy with a wide tonal range like that. Glad the patience paid off and look forward to seeing the other visitors you got to photograph. Thanks for sharing.
Love it Isaac, the frame of the branches and leaves is awesome. I like the crop and the pose on the bird is nice. No nits from me, excited to see what else you have from this scene. TFS
I love the way the branches and leaves frame the bird.
Great BG, IQ is excellent and I like the singing pose. I really like the way hid left foot is grabbing the leaf.
I quite like the 2 leaves at the bottom of the frame (usually I do not like cut-off leaves but this works)
Good POV,
