    Default Why so Serious ?

I made this image in Provo Bay, UT.

This was during sunset. I saw American Robin coming regularly to a small water puddle and trying to collect insects. It kept on coming at regular intervals and I was flat on the ground waiting for the same, with my fill flash.

I had other images taken as well. I like this crop and this pose. Hope you like it as well.

I wish I had choose for more depth of field, but I did not get the chance to do the same (as the bird was very busy in collecting insects).

Post processed using C1P, Affinity Photo, Nik Filters and Neat Image.

    Thanks for Watching.

    Thanks

Nice pose you have here. Lovely feather detail. I would try adding some contrast to the image.

I thought the image was too much contrast on my other monitor and hence did not add any additional contrast.

May be it needs more contrast, I am not quite sure. I will try to add and re-post again

Super fun image! I love headshots like this. I agree with the contrast suggestion, particularly on the darker end. Everything looks a bit washed out as it is.

You sure that Robin isn't a New Yorker! Great expression. Nice details but agree the shot is washed out. Rather than just adding contrast you would be better served adding some blacks to the neutrals and blacks in selective color and messing with the levels as well. That washed out filmy look will vanish with some simple adjustments.

Just as a quick reference point I took this into photoshop. Duplicated the layer, went to IMAGE and then AUTO TONE. Then lowered the opacity of the layer to 75%. Didn't do anything else. Not saying this is perfect but puts you in the right direction.

Are you asking if I posted the wrong image? If so then I didn't. There are subtle differences between your repost and mine.
