There were a lot of waves splashing on this individual, and it shook off the excess water off its feathers on a few occasions. Most of the time the images of this behaviour are not to my liking, but I press the shutter button every time just in case I do get a pose that I do like. This was one of them.

Hi Daniel, Very nice inquisitive look, details in the ruffled feathers and how bird stands out from the BG. I am sure getting your clothes dirty was worth it as this low POV really works.

I like this one Daniel. Great subtle light and low pov. I think the behavior images are often more interesting that the typical Audubon portrait shots.

This is fantastic! Great low angle which is so crucial for shorebird shots. BG is wonderful, detail and light are good.

Making me jealous here Daniel. Man I want a breeding plumage Dunlin! I like the behavior here and you have nice feather details. This kind of shot has you written all over it. Colors look nice but in usual fashion I'd like to see them pushed just a tiny bit more. That is most likely just a difference in the monitors we are viewing them on.
