Another shot of a Black Skimmer from a pond that use to be a prime skimmer location.

    Thanks for looking.

"Used to be" a rime location? What's wrong with it now? :) This is very nice; good detail, HA, and both BG and foreground. Very interesting wing position too. Did you have others in the sequence with different wing positions?

Hi David, Thanks for the comment. Sadly the pond is off limits now to shoot at water level and is overgrown with plants, etc. I have a others in all sorts of wing positions.

Very Nice Image. I like the Eye Contact and the skimming behavior.

    Thanks for sharing.

I like the POV and the open bill.
The blacks are blocked in the far wing and I see a sharpening halo along the leading edge of that far wing.

Thanks Gail, I agree with the slight halo on the far wing but as far as the "blocked" blacks I have an action that finds solid black and whites and fixes them so maybe it's just a monitor thing

Here is the non-halo version, Thanks Again Gail

    Hi Tim,
I like your POV and open bill action skimming however w the shadow and the rear wing being so dark (although not technically blocked), the skimmer really lacks wing detail and I just bet you have other frames that are of your ususal quality, TFS...
