    I made this image at Bear River Migratory Refuge, UT


    Nikon D500, 500 f/4 1.4x TCIII
    ISO 800, 1/2000 sec, f/5.6
    Manual Mode, Matrix Metering

    Post Processing:-

    Capture one Pro - Raw Processing
    Output Sharpening - Affinity Photo
    Noise Reduction - Neat Image

    I really like the red eyes and the birds colours blending with the BG. On my monitor it looks as though the bill is soft. Maybe I am getting that illusion from its placement?

    It could very well be placement. I don't the bill was tack sharp either. Thanks for commenting.

    I like the view of the red eyes, the placement in the frame is a bit awkward with the bird floating to the right but looking to the left. would also tweak the colors a bit it has a yellow cast

    Looks like it was a windy day.
    I would move the bird to the right of the frame and higher.
    Also, image needs a bit of pop as colors seem quite muted. I would add a point or two of blacks to the neutrals in selective coloring.

    Hi Krishna, love that we can see both eyes, and they really pop nicely against the lighter plumage. I agree with the yellow cast.
