This beautiful male was staking out territory in a local wetlands area. Audio used to entice it on this grouping of dry vegetation.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1250s., f5.6, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, FF, eye work, reduced the highlights on the brightest grasses, desaturated the yellowest areas.

Nice frame of this guy. Excellent background. Nice pose on the bird and i like the perch. I see these all time but good luck getting close enough though.

Hi Dan, i like the habitat, the clean BG and the nice detail on the yellowthroat. They are always a welcome sign and a lovely call...

Fantastic Daniel. I'm a big fan of perches like this; ones that are more than a single twig, limb etc.

Hi Dan, I like the angled pose, and the light seems nice and soft to show up the colours. The plumage detail shows up well enough, and I like the colour to the smooth BG.

Very Nice Image. I love the Yellow colors and the subtle light changes in the background. Almost like spot lighting.

I was trying to get this type of image with Marsh Wrens, they are difficult to approach, but I did not get such clean background so far.

    Thanks for sharing.

This is beautiful. The bird looks so dainty. BG colours works great with both bird and perch.

I like this one. Good perch, background and pose. Pretty 3/4 pose also. I wouldn't mind a version where you boosted the colors just a touch.

Very nice, Daniel. As John Mack says, these birds are so tiny that it's hard to get close enough. Very good composition, BG, and detail.
