Perched high above the sea (some 300ft+ up), these two Gannets reunited their courtship. Even at 10.00am the sun was starting to get strong.

Nice intimate moment between these beauties! Would have been nice to get the eye of both birds. maybe darken the rock behind them a bit?

Looking good here Steve. Amazing detail...White bird, black tail, light from the right on a light coloured cliff....Not easy to expose. Well done.

Thanks Michael, but I think it reflects the light as it was.

Cheers Will, nothing difficult, just using the full Histogram and knowing what LR does in the background when processing, so you can make allowances.

Excellent Steve, I have photographed this pair myself on several occasions, I know precisely where they are! Colours spot on as are the highlights, there is often a temptation to increase saturation or contrast for added impact but I agree with what you indicate this is very true to actuality.

Many thanks Jon, yes I think folk often think adding Contrast is the right road and it can be, you just need to be aware of what happens.
