Although I've seen and heard this species before, this was the first time I've had a good opportunity with one of these warblers. Photographed near a small woodland beaver pond.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II, manual exposure evaluative metering, 1/200s., f/4, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, small crop for comp, darkened the pupil and lightened the iris, a few highlights and specks removed from the perch. Audio used.

This is amazing! Even more so as the perch was not a set-up.
    Absolutely no nits from me.

I love the pose, the perch and the background. Maybe it's my eyes, but I feel it would benefit from another slight pass of sharpening.

All looking good. The perch looks fab and I would have liked to see more of it in focus. Nice pose on the bird and great looking BG

What an opportunity this handsome bird gave you Daniel. I've never seen one perched like this with such a pheominal BG. Nice colors, exposure and HA. Not sure if it's slightly front focused or it's the shallow depth of field that I can't help but notice.
