    Default Yellow Warbler

I visited a friend in New Jersey last Friday and we wound up walking around Rutgers Gardens. Shortly before dusk we happened upon a field that was filled with Yellow Warblers that were flying around and singing continuously. This male was photographed after the sun went behind the trees in very low light. It was going from perch to perch and proclaiming its territory above a field of Mugwort. This was what I think was his last song of the day and after this it flew deep into the thickets at the edge of the woods.

Wonderful singing pose. Good that you were able to stop the action at a relatively slow SS. I had almost forgotten about Rutgers Gardens. I haven't been in a few years. Time to go again.

Lovely pose and the BG shows the bird real good. Nice detail, but I think a faster SS would have brought out more.

I would prefer it further off the center, not that it is plonked right there, but you know what I mean.
Love the pose and the simplicity of the frame with the thin perch and smooth BG.
    A gorgeous frame mate!

Love the open singing beak and the vibrant colors throughout. Congratulations on your new lens Isaac, well done.

Hi Isaac, all angled nailed here - HA, and posed. Great that you captured him in full song with the open beak, and I like the high placement in the frame.

    Sweet simple frame.
Love the singing pose, diagonal perch, and clean BG.

I really like this one Issac, I can hear the music. Great dynamic calling pose, subtle light and complementary clean back ground. I often see images of small colorful birds that are over saturated and for me a bit boring. This one is much more interesting with the action pose.
